Dr. Hiekkalinna is Associate professor of quantitative genetics, Faculty of Medicine, University of Helsinki, Finland.
His research interest focuses on population genetics and the development of simulation and analysis tools for genetics epidemiology.
He participates in a number of international population health projects, such as the FinnGen project, the 1+Million Genome project and The Genomic Data Infrastructure (GDI) .
